I'm trying to add a users initials to date range cell. I think I've got the formula right, but the date format goes weird: even though all cells are formatted for date?
Can anyone advise please?
Regards

Welcome to the forum.
No, you need to format the date part:
=TEXT(L2,"ddmmyy")&F2

Thanks for the response :-) Is this what you mean by "date part"?
The date part of the formula is L2. It shows as a 5-digit serial number because that's what a date is, in fact, in Excel. You have to tell Excel how you want it formatting.
Glad to have helped.
