    How to remove the last 4 characters from a string

    Basically I want to find & list only those cells that do not contain "(MP3)" at the end. I'm using Office 2010.

    edit: I realize this can be done quite easily by utilizing Excel's filter feature to weed out all the cells containing (MP3) at the end but in this particular case, I'm interested in a formula only. Thanks.

    edit: nevermind. I'll work on this on my own.

    I received your private message. What good does a sample file achieve in a situation like this? You already know what my data in column A looks like. Some cells have (MP3) at the end and some do not.
    I've already provided the criteria above: to list only those cells without the (MP3) at the end. If I did this would it have helped?

    A variable question , The requirements for POST # 1 at the top are completely different from those for POST # 4
    Even the title topic thread and requirements have been changed
