Whilst I have a look, please go back to your previous thread, where there are posts and assistance you have not acknowledged: https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...fic-value.html
Thanks.

OK - a few questions.

1. How do I know which of the group names you want in the output?
2. Where has the data in Ticket and Ticket Detail come from?
There are clearly significant details missing from your request in the opening post. More detail, please, as I am not clairvoyant.![]()
Thanks for taking a look
I need a mapping formula to add to column E
- map values in column A to column C names
- column E add above mapping formula, which reads column F
Please ignore the ticket and detail values.
Thanks
I'll have another look. Did you see post #2? In your last thread I made changes you requested but you never acknowledged them or marked the thread as solved - plesae go and look now.
Remove ALL expected results from E. Paste this into E2 and ENTER:
=XLOOKUP(F2:F9,A2:A18,C2:C18,"")
It will spill down.
There is a gap owing to a spelling mismatch in your lists - you can find and correct this yourself.
Thanks for that
Column C - I have to type in planned, when status value is triage or planned in column A
Is there a formula that can auto do that please?
Example
- Triage or planned, return the term planned
- Todo, in review or in progress, return the term in progress
Thanks
No - that's your lookup list. The source data (lookup list) has to start somewhere.
No probs, thanks for your help
Glad to have helped.
