SumProduct: Count values in a range if adjacent cell meets a particular criteria

Hi!

Using data from two tables I am trying to find the total number of times a language has been used throughout a set of data (represented as a language code) and put that information into a new table. i.e In total the number of times Latin appears across the whole data set (column in green) with the output in (orange). To add to the madness there are also blank values which is where no language code has been entered and I also need that value too. All i have managed to achieve is the number of times the language code appears (which i managed via COUNTIF *facepalm*!)
