Type words into a single cell and have them arrange into alphabetical order same cell.

Is it possible to type words or names into a single cell and have them arrange into alphabetical order in the same cell? Then apply that to a range of cells or a row.
I have searched a heap threads and have found solutions using a formula showing results in adjacent cell but not the same cell.

A bunch of us use office 365 excel web\online to collaborate on the same spreadsheet.

=BYCOL(A1:S1,LAMBDA(c,TEXTJOIN(CHAR(10),,SORT(TEXTSPLIT(c,," ")))))

Set cells to Wrap Text and Align Top.

In the SAME cell would require VBA - shall I move the thread for you?

EDIT: VBA won't work online - you'd need to look at Office Scripts, but we'd still need to move the thread.

That does not work delivering the expected results (coincidentally) only for the first cell. Thereafter they are not sorted.

Delete ALL expected results, wrap cells, align top and try:

=BYCOL(A1:S1,LAMBDA(x,TEXTJOIN(CHAR(10),,SORT(TEXTSPLIT(TRIM(x),," ")))))

It's academic, anyway - it's not what the OP wants, I realised. But yes, you are right.
