Hi,
I've created a Golf Scores workbook, which is attached, showing a teams score on particular dates.
I've collated the results into a monthly summary worksheet, overall league position and also an adjustment of each player handicap based on the results.
The problem I've got relates to the adjustment of the player's handicaps.
What I would like to be able to do is as follows.
If a team wins a match, each player's handicap in that winning team is reduced by one shot for the following match.
If the same team wins again in the following match, then each player's handicap in that team is again reduced by a further shot.
If that team then doesn't win the following match, then each player's handicap in that team is increased by one shot.
This continues for each match, decreasing or increasing the each player's handicap depending on whether the team win a match or not.
The caveat for this process is that each player's handicap must not be increased above their starting handicap.
I have posted a similar problem before regarding managing the players handicaps based on each games result which worked to a certain degree (probably because I didn't explain the problem sufficiently well!) but after further testing I found that if a team won on two consecutive weeks then on the second win, the player's handicaps were increased and not decreased further.
This problem can be seen in the attached workbook on the 'Handicaps' worksheet were 'Team 2' have won on 13/11 and 4/12. Their handicaps should therefore be reduced on the 4/12 and the 8/1 and increased by one on the 5/2 and again on 4/3, as they didn't win, when it will be then the team player's starting handicap.
I have tried to resolve the problem myself but unsuccessfully so looking for some guidance. I hope all this makes sense but obviously get back if it doesn't.
TIA,
Chris
