filter between two 365 workbooks on onedrive

I have two workbooks located in my one drive account. I am trying to do a simple filter function between the two but am getting the #N/A error. I have checked the path, and made sure that the both of the filter conditions are of the same format but I can not get it to work.
I am attempting to create the filter function on tab 8/2/2023 in the ETC template document.

Your profile says 2013, but this sounds like 365 - does it need updating???

Does it work with both workbooks open?

It doesn't work at all. Either direct open on the computer or opened as a web page from the one drive location.

But it DOES work if both files are saved locally?

It's a Structure Table. You can't have SPILL formulae, specifically, in this case, FILTER) in a Structured Table.

That said, it doesn't seem to work outside the Table either.

So, should I abandon the table altogether?

The right hand side, yes. But then you need to work out what is wrong with the formula.

It doesn't even work within the source workbook - can't workout why yet.

I have used the formula before and it worked fine. The difference is that I was filtering between two tabs in the same book. How is the formula any different when filtering between two books, and is it different still when those books are web based?

I thought it was the date condition at first and that they had to be the same format and same context (both 08/01/2023 instead of one being 8/1/2023) I tried both and it wont work.

You need to get it working in the source book, then extrapolate it. I don't have the time to troubleshoot right now. I suggest you make a small subset of the data on a separate worksheet in the source workbook and try with that. Keep adding data bck in until you find the point at which it starts to return #N/A.

You have a #N/A! error in row 457 of the Search Range on the local (hidden) copy of ETC Uploads. Remove that and it works.

You also have the same issue on the .xlsm file version. There are a lot of blank rows so it looks as though you haven't cleared data effectively.
