Hello,
I have been wrestling trying to figure out a SUMIF or SUMIFS function to work for the attached spreadsheet and would appreciate any help I can get!
There are two worksheets:
SUMMARY where I need to add this formula into cell B3
LAB where in column A there are various values, but I need the costs totaled in column C that have the value of 2606.1 in column A
Note that columns A and C in the SUMMARY worksheet are named ranges
I hope this is clear. Thank you in advance!

With just 2606.1 in cell A3, this in B3:
=SUMIF(LAB!A$2:A$32,A3,LAB!C$2:C$32)

When I use this formula in the example I sent to you it works fine, but when I adopt it for my "real" spreadsheet and make minor adjustments I get an error in Excel.
Using your example I make these updates:
Yours below and mine below that:
=SUMIFS(Table1[LAB COST],Table1[WWS],TEXTBEFORE(A3," Total"))
=SUMIFS(Table1[LABORCOST],Table1[WBS],TEXTBEFORE(B13," Total"))
A screen shot of the error is attached.
Do you have a column called WBS?
