EXCEL Chart hide zeros

Good morning, everyone!

I am trying to create a dynamic chart in Excel. However, I want to hide the columns in Bar chart with contains zeros because it looks too much crowdy. I used the zero filters, but it hides for me the whole column. my problem that each category has 4 bar chart I just want to hide the bar which contain zero for that category but not to hide the category itself only if the category itself showed zero for all its bar chart.

I hope that I have explained the question clearly.

Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

In the attached file I:
1. Copied the data from B3:G16 to B18:G31
2. Populated C19:G31 using: =IF(C4>0,C4,NA())
3. Changed the 'Chart data range' to: =Sheet1!$B$18:$G$31

EDIT: Sorry, just realized that this doesn't help.

Try this:
1. Select a data label
2. Right click
3. Select Format data labels
4. Select Number
5. In the category window select custom
6. In the format code window type 0;;
7. Select add
Note that this will need to be done for each severity level

On my computer, when I look at the sentence in your first post "I used the zero filters, but it hides for me the whole column", the Thread Tools menu is directly above the words "hides for me".
