Multiply the sum of a column

    Hello

Working on a simple timesheet, although it has taken me a few hours so far. Please see attached

I am struggling to get the right formula to multiply the contents of cell T9 by the number that I input into cell H12.

H12 is the hourly rate and T9 is the total sum of column T, the hours worked.

I just can't figure it out and have trawled the forum and the internet but can't find this particular solution.

Many thanks in anticipation for any assistance.

Re: Multiply the sum of a column

Many thanks for your quick reply, TMS

I have put the formula in, which I have tried before but I get the wrong result.

H12 is currency and T9 is Time. In this example, I want the result of 18 hours 40 mins times £25.00 but the answer I get is only £19.44.

    Something is not quite right.

Re: Multiply the sum of a column

Your 18 hours is actually 18/24 of a day. You need to multiply by 24 to get integer hours (day x hours/day =hours). Then multiply by $/hour = Ttl $
