    Ever-elusive time to decimal formula

    Downloaded some data from a database. Output is a time format that I need in decimal format in order to work with.

    Typical formulas I know did not work.

    The underlying values in column D represent "days," so I tried a simple CONVERT() function (or any equivalent) =CONVERT(D2,"day","hr"). If Excel defaults to some kind of time formatting, format with your favorite number format (general or 0.00 or whatever you like).
