Question Formula help: Linking other workbooks with changing names

    Hi

    Please can somebody help!

I am trying to create an analysis of employee's timesheets- each timesheet has a month's data inside and an analysis of the month. Each workbook is specific to an employee. Each timesheet is titled Jan 2023, Feb 2023 etc.

I know it is possible to insert data from an employee's timesheet by pasting the link inside my analysis workbook, however to help automatically generate a new analysis for each month, is it possible to automatically generate an analysis for every month- for example by keeping all employee's workbooks the same name format e.g March 2023 (then carrying out a lookup in the March Analysis workbook).

The formula that I would like to change if possible is:

    ='S:\MI6\Timesheets\James Bond\[March 2023.xlsx]Month Analysis'!$B$2

Changing the March 2023 to whatever the month of the year is

    Many thanks in advance

    See example below:

For any analysis required some data. Give enter your some data in format, specifically time format as hh:mm:ss
Also note that, for productivity requires total working day, total present days

    Hi thanks for the reply.

The data is all pulled from another workbook and is in minutes (general). The issue is trying to automatically link 'James Bond's' March data and then his April data and so forth. I was only hoping to change the name of the Analysis document and not any formulas. This would save so much time

Re: Formula help: Linking other workbooks with changing names

By choosing file name > path > See the formula in summary sheet which is self explanatory.
