Need Help with formula to highlight specific range of cells

I have been trying for three hours to highlight specific cells based on a range.

I need to highlight any dates between 1/1/2014-12/31/2019. I cannot figure this out, i've watched tutorials, read blogs, but everything fails and highlights everything, not just the date ranges I need. Basically I want to highlight these older dates so we don't collect on them.

    Thank you!

Re: Need Help with formula to highlight specific range of cells

Your dates are not dates - they are just text.

    1. Select column A.
    2. Data ribbon | Text to Columns.
    3. Click Next > Next > choose MDY > Finish.

    4. Select column B.
    5. Data ribbon | Text to Columns.
    6. Click Next > Next > choose MDY > Finish.

    7. Select cell A1.
    8. Create this CF rule: =AND(A1>=DATE(2014,1,1),A1<=DATE(2019,12,31))
    9. Applies to: =$A:$B

@Ali, there is a typo in Post #4 Point #6. Choose MDY instead of Choose DMY.
