    Data replication

    Hi everyone,
I have two tabs in a spreadsheet. I want to pull data from one column into another column on another tab.

So in the destination tab I'm pressing = then clicking the field with the info I want to replicate.

It replicates the data, but not the formatting. Any idea if I can change that? Or a workaround?

I'm trying to demonstrate if a project is red/amber/green in that field, and have it replicated in a field on another tab. I don't want to have to copy and paste - I want it to do it automatically when the source is updated.

    Thankyou in advance!!

You'd have to copy and paste the cell to take the formatting across. You could probably copy and paste a linked picture of the cell.

Or use Conditional Formatting with the same conditions as the source cell.

    Administrative Note:

Members will tailor the solutions they offer to the version (NOT release number) of Office (Excel, NOT Windows) that you have. Please check that your forum profile is up-to-date in this respect. If you aren't sure, in Excel go to File | Account and report what it says below the MS logo at the top of that page. If your version is for Mac, please also state this. Thanks.
