Cell value auto populated based on value of another

Hello!

I don't know if this is possible or how to to properly word it, which is maybe why my searches haven't been very fruitful, but this is what I'd like to do...

In one column I have ages of employees, and in another is their rate of pay. Is is possible for the rate of pay to change depending on the age? The age is currently being calculated with =(YEAR(NOW())-YEAR(D4)) based on DOB in a third column. Rates of pay are different for employees aged 16-17, 18-20, 21-22, and then 23+. So let's say the DOB is 22/03/86, age is calculated at 36- can the cell in the rate of pay column display a certain amount because the age is bigger than 23?

Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook. Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

assuming that in C3 is date of birth.
Make a small table with the lower limit of age intervals in first column and the pay rates in second, and use Vlookup with True or 1 as the four argument.
