    Welcome to the forum.

    Try this in AE2:

    =IF(AC2="basis/kader","1c","")

You will need to change commas to semi-colons for your Dutch locale:

    =IF(AC2="basis/kader";"1c";"")

If this isn't it, then there are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Mmm ... I thought as much.

You can nest IFs, however is that it, or are there many combinations?

    In principle:

    =IF(AC2="basis/kader";"1c";IF(AC2="Havo/mavo";"1a";""))

I think you need a lookup table (can be anywhere, even on another sheet):

    B
    C
    D
    E
    F
    1
    2
    basis 1C mavo/kader 1B
    3
    havo/mavo 1A
    4
    basis 1C
    5
    basis/kader 1C
    Sheet: Sheet1

AliGW on MS365 Beta Channel (Windows 11) 64 bit

    C
    2
    =IFNA(VLOOKUP(B2;$E$2:$F$5;2;0);"")
    Sheet: Sheet1
