You might want to try this:
=SUMIFS($E2:$ABF2,$E$1:$ABF$1,"<="&TODAY(),$E$1:$ABF$1,">"&EDATE(TODAY(),-12))
It will add everything from 12 months prior to today up to today.

Thank you! this is what I ended up doing. Weird though, it works when I use that formula on the spreadsheet you had attached in your previous reply, but when I try to use the formula on my spreadsheet, it is still only displaying "0"
