    Attendance rolling 12-month calculator

    Our company uses a point system for our attendance tracking. I am trying to calculate total points on a rolling 12-month schedule. - for example, if an employee receives any sort of attendance point on 4/10/22 it will come off on 4/10/23.

    The formula I have currently for column C (Total Points this year) is not populating. The person who was in this position before me put that formula in there, and I'm not sure how it needs to be adjusted.

    You could try something like this:

    =SUMIFS($E2:$ABF2,$E$1:$ABF$1,">="&TODAY(),$E$1:$ABF$1,"<"&(EDATE(TODAY(),12)))

    This is a good start, but we just started this policy on 4/11/22. so, if an employee received a point on 4/11/22 it would need to remain until 4/11/23.

    You said that you wanted a rolling 12-month total. What I gave you sums from today to 12 months from today.

    Try adapting the dates in the formula to suit your actual requirements.

    You might want to try this:

    =SUMIFS($E2:$ABF2,$E$1:$ABF$1,"<="&TODAY(),$E$1:$ABF$1,">"&EDATE(TODAY(),-12))

    It will add everything from 12 months prior to today up to today.

    Thank you! this is what I ended up doing. Weird though, it works when I use that formula on the spreadsheet you had attached in your previous reply, but when I try to use the formula on my spreadsheet, it is still only displaying "0"

    That's because the dates are text, not real dates. Look at the way I dealt with this in my example spreadsheet.

    Thank you for all of your help! I found the issue - I had my sheet formatted as a table.
