    Drop Down Box Change Cell Text

    Hi, see attached spreadsheet. When I chose an ENTRY from drop down option list in column C, I want the cell adjacent in the next column D to display a certain P# value automatically. Under the table is the display text. If no column cell in C is populated, both column cells C & D must remain empty. Any questions please ask. Thanks in advance.

    Try

    =IF($C4="","",IFERROR(VLOOKUP($C4,$C$13:$D$16,2,0),""))

    Hi John, that's great but is it possible to achieve the same result without the look up table being present on the sheet or needed? Cheers.

    Thanks John for steering me in the right direction. I solved it by using =IF(F4="PH2","P1",IF(F4="HT7","P2",IF(F4="WE9","P3",IF(F4="DS3","P4",""))))
