    Question Dealing with alternative codes

    Hi,

I am having some product codes in column E and alternatives if existing in another column( Column C).

If there is no two alternatives for one code nothing happens(either only 1 or only 2). If There is alternative 1 and 2 for one code, id like to delete those with alternative number 1. I assume that the best way is to insert additional column with output as 1 or 0 .

I am attaching what i have at the moment.

And there is desired output (Column N). Maybe there is a better way to solve this.

    Thanks in advance !

    Re: Dealing with alternative codes

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.
