Looking for a term that will encompass a range of entries

    Hello,

I am looking to calculate a number of items that will be multiplied by a figure, which will depend on what is written in another cell. I am using an IF formula, but since there are different names that need to be multiplied by the same figure, I need a term that can encompass anything written in the cell.
Is there any such term? Or another formula that could help me in this case? I am attaching the spreadsheet I am trying to develop.

    Thank you all in advance,

    Ermal

    Welcome to the forum.

I think you have forgotten to show what you want.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Re: Looking for a term that will encompass a range of entries

    Try this:

    =IF(B3="","",F3*(LOOKUP(B3,{"AADF","TAP","UNICEF","UNWOMEN"},{700,900,500,500})))

Note, the terms AADF, etc, need to be in ascending alphabetical order.

Note, in Albania - you may need ; as the separator... not ,

    See the file.

PS. I love Tirana, I've been there twice in the last few years!!

Thank you very much Glenn. The problem I have is that I need something that will give me the same result for both AADF and anything else I input. Basically I need a general term that will include AADF and any other thing I may input in a range of cells.

    Thank you so much

Not sure what you mean... Please post an updated sheet Sounds like a lookup table is required, but yiur description is insufficiently precise.
