beginners question combining data if a name matches

Hi,
I am a beginner at excel and trying to learn but was wondering if someone could either help me or
point me to a site that might have a formula that works.

my daughter is a big basketball fan and I know I can look this data up on sports sites but thought it would be fun if
it was something we could piece together ourselves.

So I was trying to set up a worksheet that I could put statistics for players into rows and then total each player. The trick is
it would be statistics for the past 5 years and not every play would have played all 5 years so it might be like this

Adam 2018 13 14 143 67
Adam 2019 43 112 433 23
Adam 2020 22 87 132 9
Mike 2020 30 200 334 52
Mike 2021 17 108 319 12
Steve 2019 9 43 99 2
Walt 2019 22 100 212 19
Walt 2021 13 77 89 2

Using a formula I would like to make a chart with the players name and the cells that pertain only to him to total.

Is this an easy formula? I assume it is I just really cant figure it out.

We probably should have more specifics to answer appropriately, but this could be a start.

I would put the data in an EXCEL Table, and then you could apply a Pivot Table to it and graph the Pivot Table.

The question is what exactly do you want the graph to look like?
