Hi
what does NSSA mean please?
Is the data ALWAYS sorted as per your example i.e, Name and ascending data?
If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.
Hi
NSSA is NATIONAL SOCIAL SECURITY AUTHORIY. ALL companies are required to deduct 4.5% on employee's basic salary. This money will be paid back to employees when the go on pension and if there are involved in accident at work.

Can they be sorted? If not, can we assume that the earliest date in a month for a given name is the payment to be considered?
Please post a more representative file.
Hi
Dates can be sorted in ascending order but names in any order. t's best we are assume that the earliest date in a month for a given name is the payment to be considered.
Maybe try
=MIN(E14,HLOOKUP(C14,$B$6:$M$9,3,))*$B$7*(A14<>A13)
Try
in F14
=IF(COUNTIF($A$14:$A14,$A14)>1,"",MIN(D14,INDEX($B$8:$M$8,0,MATCH($C14,$B$6:$M$6,0)))*$B$7)

Two formulas are given, since you have noted 10-9-21 as August.
Formula 1. Works for all months taking month from "Date" column (B).
Formula 2. Works for all months taking month from "Period" column (C).![]()

Hi
My apologies for late replying. I was out of network coverage. Thank you all for helping. Kvsrinivasamurthy's formula 2 produces the desired outcome (Works for all months taking month from "Period" column (C).
Thank you once again.
