    Gantt chart - need to track multiple dates

    I'm creating a Gantt chart using a template I found (attached). I ideally need to track an initial date range, then two further dates as I am tracking shipping delays.

    I cannot figure out how to add this to the conditional formatting. I presume it's possible for a Gantt chart to calculate multiple dates in one line? Any help greatly appreciated.

    With K7 selected, click on Conditional Formatting | Manage Rules and then you can click on New Rule | Use a formula... , then you can use this formula in the dialogue box:

    =$G7=K$5

    Click on the Format button | Fill tab to choose your colour. When you Ok your way out, you should change the Applies to Range to =$K$7:$BN$22

    Repeat, and use this formula:

    =$H7=K$5

    and choose a different colour.

    Hope this helps.

    That's brilliant, thank you so much.

    One other question, I'd like the chart to show solid lines, ending at each date.

    The solution you provided highlights the date in columns G and H, but I'd like it to show a line from the previous date.

    Example attached - I'd like the red squares to generate a red line going back to the purple line, and the blue square to for the same thing back to the 'Original Vessel' date (in red).

    Hi Matthew,

    sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I've been busy doing other things.

    Select cell K7 then click on Conditional formatting | Manage Rules and then select the red rule and click on Edit Rule, and then change the formula to this:

    =AND($F7<=K$5,$G7>=K$5)

    Click OK. Select the blue rule and click on Edit Rule and change the formula to this:

    =AND($G7<=K$5,$H7>=K$5)

    then OK your way out.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete

    By the way, if that takes care of your original question, please take a moment to select Thread Tools from the menu above and to the right of your first post in this thread, and mark the thread as SOLVED.
