Add a note to Index Match function but ignore blanks/non-existent data

Hi guys,

I have an index match function setup on a tab: UK Request Type KPIs in cells AD17 anbd AE17.

I want to have a message displayed instead of N/A to say: This data does not exist on the Global tab

I know the N/A message is because the data does not exist on the global tab (2nd tab in the sheet).

Secondy, in AE19, there is no data to index match against. How can I instruct the formula not to return an N/A or ' This data does not exist on the Global tab' message if there is no data to match against? This formula would be dragged down to all the cells on the first tab, so there will be blanks adjacent to the cells, as I have not input data. I don't want any false alarms.. yet I want to future protect the sheet by having the formula dragged down.
