Need some help with counting words

I am working on membership analysis. The board wants to know what the male/female ratio is.

I have pulled a report from our membership management system. There is no direct info in wether the member is male/female other than their Honorific (Mr., Ms., Mrs., Miss, Monsieur, Mme etc.).
I kind of want to use the COUNTIF formula (or if there is a better one, please let me know), but instead of using one term (such as Mr.), I want to count the cells that contain the words Mr., Monsieur etc.
Obviously I would like to do the same for the female variant. However I noticed they use many different kind of terms. So, I could also count the total members and subtract the males to get the total female.

Any ideas of how to tackle this?

Your version of Office is 365 (days in a year), not 360 (degrees in a circle). You may wish to update your profile.

One way:

=SUMPRODUCT(--ISNUMBER(SEARCH({"Mr ","Monsieur "},$A$1:$A$10)))

NB... space after Mr etc, is intentional.
