Keep Getting #SPILL! Error for my Formula
Hello all,
I am trying you complete a class assignment in Excel dealing with a specific formula that the book wants to use. However, when I use the formula as stated in the book, I keep getting a spill error as attached to this post. Thoughts? Excel Help.PNG
Your formula should be using an @ in front of the field names as it's in a table and you want to refer to the specific row the formula is in.
Everyone who confuses correlation and causation ends up dead.
Thank you very much for the help. I can't believe that my textbook wouldn't have the correct way to do this.
The book was probably written for an older version of Excel. Your profile isn’t clear - are you running 365 or 2019, or another version?

My book is for Office 2019 but they school is offering the Office 365 suite which I am currently using.
Then the book predates the dynamic array formulas. The formula would have worked as written in 2019 (though I still wouldn't have written it that way).
