    Background color change

I have this great formula =ISERROR(VLOOKUP(Census!A2,Names!$A$2:$A$500,1,FALSE)) that compares two fields.

What I want to do is expand this and change the background color of the Census sheet. I do want to keep what it does now, but also be able to do the color change.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

You probably need to research Conditional Formatting.

Can't be more constructive without seeing a sample workbook. See the yellow banner at the top of the page.

    Re: Background color change

As the formula is in column K of the Names sheet you might try the following formula as a conditional formatting rule: =K2=TRUE applied to =$K$2:$K$20
Here is a link to a tutorial on using conditional formatting: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/....%20See%20More
