Unique names and count corresponding data in totals

Hi guys,

not sure if I'm asking too much here but I have always found this community very helpful.

I have a data dump that I need to produce into some charts eventually, essentially I have staff who get several types of infringements so their name will be listed quite often more than once and I want to total the type of infringements they have got, each infringement is classed as a letter so I need a formula that will place all drivers names in a unique list and then count how many of each infringement they have using the letter code i.e on the data I get it might say daily driver time limit exceeded but this would be coded as A and then that would show as 1 in the table. also, I would ideally need the person employment type and which site they are from so that all I have to do is download the data, dump it in the sheet and it gives me my totals. I'm open to any changes to make it easier but I've uploaded the example, hope it makes sense.

Hi John, thanks for replying, i have put an example in which starts in column X, its quite raw but eventually that will be full of data, hope that helps, I can always move it to a separate tab if that makes it easier

Hi thank you for that, it works perfectly, I just now need to match the person in row z to the site in column C so that I have the full detail of site/name and total infringements. I've attempted this numerous times but can't get it to work
