Conditional formatting for dates within certain number of days

    Hi,

I have a row of set dates as shown in the excel, column A.

I am trying to do a conditional formatting where it changes cell colour and font colour.

My aim is to; To change colour cell if the date is within 90days from the date shown in column A. And if the cell is blank, do not change colour should stay as default.

    Excel:
    - Column A = Set of dates
    - Column C = Where there are commentary, the cell in column A needs to change the date

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

You can use as conditonal formula

    Formula: copy to clipboard

The first part $A2>TODAY() I put in to make sure on empty cells the coloring is not applied.

Keypart to make it work correct on ranges is that the celreference starts with the same rownumber as the applied range and that there is no $ before the number (2 in this example)to test the correct row on each line.

    Also see attachment
YOu had 1 line marked as needs to change but that does not meet your requirement of 90 days, other then that all rows you indicated are colored

Thanks for the prompt response Roel.

I understand the concept that you've explained.
However, can you apply this to column A if that's possible? As column B will be deleted - column B is not there, i only added in there so i know which dates are within 90 days.
So where you have the orange highlighted in orange in column B, it should highlight it in column A.

    Select A3:A30.
Formula to be applied for CF is

    =AND($A3-TODAY()<=90,$A3<>"")
