    Lookup price with two parameters

Hello guys, I confess that I absolutely suck at both math and excel. Unfortunately my boss handed me what is basically a math problem I gotta solve, and I have no idea how to do it cause of lack of my math and excel skills. I am hoping someone can help me with this or I'm screwed.

Co basically I've got this table in excel, where X (row) is a width and Y is a height (column) of a wooden sauna cabin, the X;Y is the price for a sauna with said dimensions. I need to find a relationship between the size and the price. I can't seem to find it, the price seems to grow non linearly, I can't seem to find any coeficient. Again, I suck at math and excel, maybe solution is simple, but I just don't see it. Can anyone help me please?

Table is at this link - ibb.co/4WsJ07h . Thanks for any help!

rather than a link, please attach a sample as explained in the yellow banner at the top of the thread.

You will also be asked to change the title of the thread to something more descriptive to your issue - see rule 1

Re: Lookup price with two parameters

Hi. Forum Rule 1 is very short. It states: "Title must briefly summarize your request."

A GOOD thread title is the sort of thing you would use as a search term on Google*. Your chosen title would produce a squillion useless hits. In future, please take a bit more time to think of a descriptive title that would be "Google-friendly". Many people search the forum answers looking for help and your very general title wouldn't help them at all.

Since you are a new or very infrequent user of this site, on this occasion, I have changed it for you.

However, if you continue to use weak titles, you can expect to have your thread BLOCKED until you change it yourself. If that happens, to edit the thread title, open the original post, click "Edit Post" (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

    *Other search engines are available!!!

    Regards,

    Glenn.

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet.

Please amend your profile to show your Excel version.... It will be displayed in the green rectangle that appears for a few seconds when you launch excel. It might be 2007,2010 363, or whatever. This is needed to get the optimum solution for you.

Re: Lookup price with two parameters

    INDEX(MATCH,MATCH) may help

    =INDEX(TABLE,MATCH(Width,column_A),MATCH(Height,row_1))

with column A is width, row 1 is height
