Hello!
I'm working on some data mining points at work and since i'm only half professional in Excel and even less in VBA matters, i have some questions in hope some smart people can help me!
What I want to learn is:
Let's say i'm having a list, in which different people are noted. Those people get something, for example parking coupons.
You'll find the worksheet attached, that shows the main points i want to involve.
See tab "list": The start date is f.ex. when they got the coupons (format dd/mm/yyyy), the days is for how many days worth of coupons, then the end date (starting date + amount of coupons/days).
The other tabs would be to work on:
- Tab "Statistic 1" does the counting of how many times they get coupons during a specific month, in relation to column B in "list" (count: Alain got 2x in May),
- Tab "Statistic 2" is for how many coupons resp. for how many days in total, every time they got coupons during a month (Alan got a total of 12 days - from the 2x in May)
- Tab "Statistic 2bis" would be if possible, if we can cut down the days into their months, (See "list" row 9 for Timmy: 28/04/2020 - 07/05/2020, etc.) where the table can consider that April counts 3 days and May 7?
- Tab "Average" if for average of coupon/days amount for each person
I hope my questions are understandable, and that there is a possibility to communicate formulas and pivots in a general way, because i will very probably need them for different points of view...
Will definitely open other threads with same parking coupon examples, but other formula questions!![]()
