excel desktop not linking web data with excel in onedrive online

Hi. I edit my excel on the desktop and it saves automatically to Onedrive.
I want to have a currency conversion update on the workbook automatically. I found one from a thread from 2013. Even so, I assumed it would work and it does on the desktop but it doesn't seem to work with Onedrive excel online. Something about the online version doesn't do web queries. At this point I have to delete it or the Onedrive cloud is not saving.

Am I trying to do the impossible? I have attached the desktop version (not saved to Onedrive) with the web data added. It is set to refresh after 1 minute.
