Partial Match formula is not giving 100 % results.

HI Guys, could anyone help me to resolve the issue i am trying to get the partial match from the "List" which is just one column with variety of complex text string from another tab in excel sheet.

There is probably not much we can do to help you debug this without some idea of what text values are in List. It looks like the intention is to find the first entry where List contains the text in D4, is that correct?

If I were to debug this, I would probably start with a (temporary) helper column. Enter something like =SEARCH(first cell in list,$D$4) into a cell adjacent to the first cell in List and copy/paste/fill down to the bottom of list. Your original function looks like it is searching for the first numeric (non-error) result in this column, so scan the column and see where the first non-error is (autofilter may be useful for this if List is long). See if the first non-error matches what you think it should be.
