Index match formula from sales data worksheet to receivable worksheet

    Hi

I am trying to automatically produce Receivables Ledger Account. I am kindly asking for a formula which can automatically match date, invoice number, payment terms and Amount incl VAT from SALES DATA. Please note that invoice 6008 has two transactions. All the figures should be linked to customer code number.

The attached excel sheet explains much better.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Sunboy

Re: Index match formula from sales data worksheet to receivable worksheet

If you need to match the date why is the value for invoice 6008 41,745.0 rather than 16,905.0?

The value for invoice 6008 41,745.0 rather than 16,905.0? because the customer bought two items: Floor polish for $ 16905 and Toilet cleaner for $24840. I summed the two figures.

    Thank you.

Yes but they are on different dates & you said the date needs to be matched.
So should the date be matched or not?

Re: Index match formula from sales data worksheet to receivable worksheet

    Please try at
    B9
    =IF(C9="","",INDEX('SALES DATA'!$B$4:$B$99,MATCH(C9,'SALES DATA'!$G$4:$G$99,)))

    C9
    =IFERROR(AGGREGATE(15,6,'SALES DATA'!$G$4:$G$99/('SALES DATA'!$D$4:$D$99=$B$8)/('SALES DATA'!$G$4:$G$99>MAX(C$8:C8)),1),"")

    D9
    =IF(C9="","",VLOOKUP(C9,'SALES DATA'!$G$4:$S$99,13,))

    E9
    =IF(C9="","",SUMIFS('SALES DATA'!$R$4:$R$99,'SALES DATA'!$G$4:$G$99,C9))
