    Unhappy Wrong formula-calculation of the bullet's range

    Hi everyone, I'm going crazy because I can't understand why this formula gives me wrong values. The calculation of the bullet's range.

    Thank you Richard is now correct, but why do I have to multiply it by 2 radians?

    I think that's because the formula is calculating the time and distance to the peak of the parabola, i.e. half way and that involves one Sin component and then the other half of the parabola involves another Sin component, hence two in total.

    The formula of course assumes the time and distance on a level plain. It doesn't allow for the end point being higher or lower than the start point.
