Formula needed for matching columns then entering text.

I have a list of name in column in A and i then have a table on another sheet that i would like to merge together. As in the name in my Column A i would like it to find in my table and return the information next to it. So sheet 1 has all name in column A and the in Sheet 2 there is a list of name in column A and the in column B there is all the phone numbers. Can this be done i am driving myself mental trying to figure this out.
