    AVERAGEIFS formula with average range depending on cell

    Hello guys!

    I am a little bit lost and I even don't know if this is the correct forum to post my question. I am currently trying to use the AVERAGEIFs formula, but i would like the average_range to depend on a cell.

    I have a worksheet called data where i have several columns with ranges... for example.... r_apples, r_oranges...

    depending on what i want to average... i would like to write in the cell B5 for example: r_apples...

    so in the formula =AVERAGIFS(B5,....other criteria). Is this possible? I haven't seen this question before and I have searched in all internet. Do you have any suggestion? I am pretty desperate!
