Pivot Tables: Show value only for all names with most recent (max) Date

I need a pivot table to show me a list of all names and the value of column D at the time of the most recent date. I am able to get the names and max date but once I bring in the balance (column D) I receive the full list of balances for all dates per person.

E2 =IF(COUNTIF($A$2:$A$27,$A2)=COUNTIF($A$2:$A2,$A2),"Yes","") and drag down.

After that a pivot table and select in the filter box on Yes.
