    COUNTIFS between two dates with extra criterion match

    I am trying to build a formula that will search for dates between 10/1/2019 and 9/30/2019 in column "E" and match the criteria letter "F" in column "I". I have tried several times with COUNTIFS and I just can't seem to get it right. I just want a total number of matches to populate a cell. Any help would be appreciated.

    Re: COUNTIFS between two dates with extra criterion match

    Try this:

    =COUNTIFS(E:E,">="&10/1/2019,E:E,"<="& 9/30/2019,I:I,"F")
