Hey all!
I'm new here, and I've got a question. I already searched for it online, yet I cannot find an answer. This is my problem:
I've got a list of adjectives (250K+) in a column, and another table containing 4000 very frequent adjectives in column A, and a value between 1 and 7 in column B, which signifies the polarity of the adjective in column A. For instance, I've got a word 'nice' in column A, for which the value in column B is 6.1; I've got another word 'bad', for which the value in column B is 1.8.
I want to use this table and these data to tag my first list of 250.000 adjectives with a + or - (or a yes/no, doesn't really matter) which signifies positive polarity or negative polarity. I want a formule to tag a row with + if the word in that row has a value higher than 3.5 in the other table, and I want that formule to tag the row with a - if the value of the adjective in that row is less than 3.5 . Is there a formule any of you know to tag these adectives in the first list using the data from the second list?
Thanks!
LM
