Sorry for off-topic interjection:

Although there is no official rule regarding this behavior, we request that wherever possible both the question AND the answer be provided in substantive detail here within the thread. An attached workbook is an excellent aid for posing a question and offering a solution, but solely doing that with no in thread explanation makes it difficult for researchers to understand or consider the Q & A of this thread without downloading what may be a pointless doc to them, if they can do that at all. Doing that also hides the content from search engines so others may never benefit from this.

I'm sure you understand, and we look forward to seeing you post your formulas/macros in your posts for the searching benefit of all.

Without an explanation of what you want, we are only guessing. Here is my WAG:

In D8 type =SUM($B$8:B8) and then copy down. If this is not what you want, then please explain in detail as requested in post #3. Please read the forum rules you agreed to when you joined to avoid any further moderation requests.

I need to calculate income based on takings. The percentage of the takings is based on the annual total. No % for the first £5,814 then 100% up to £23,225 and 805 over £23,226. So i need formulas in cells D8 to D19 to work this out. Thanks
