    Deferred Revenue Schedule for SaaS

I am attempting to create a deferred revenue schedule for a hypothetical SaaS company.

    Provided info:
    -Start Date
    -End Date
    -Annual Rate

10 of the customers begin their service on the first of the month. However, the remainder of the customers begin their service/end their service in the middle of the month. The deferral of the revenue will be on a daily basis, not an even monthly amount.

If i were to create a revenue schedule with the months as the columns, customer amounts as rows, is there a single formula which could correctly allocate this revenue in each cell?

Thank you all in advance, happy to extrapolate on anything that is needed.

Could you mock up the results you're looking for and post an updated file? Not for all customers, but maybe for 1 or 2 so we can see what you're expecting?

Hi! Very excited to see an answer here, first time using a forum for excel.

Attached is an updated sheet which shows the desired layout. I highlighted the two customers for whom I've updated the data into the revenue schedule.

The method of attachment didn't work. Please look at the yellow banner at the top of the page and use those instructions.

Try this in cell K2 and then copy across/down.
    =MAX(0,$G2*(MIN(EOMONTH(K$1,0),$C2)-MAX($B2,K$1)+1))
    Attached is the file.

Could you please explain what SaaS means? Not everybody understands initialisms/acronyms, maybe depriving you from help as members usually look at titles to see where they can help.
    Thanks

Thread is now solved but SaaS = Software as a Service. Thanks for stopping into the tread!
