    Count values with different criteria

    Good afternoon Gents

I'm working in a file with many data.
The information that i want to work is the following:
column 1 - work orders created by the Technician
    column 2 and 3 and 4 - comments A+ B+ C
column 5 - list of comments by type
I need to resume how comments per type were made by the same Technician.

    Please consider the attached picture.

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

    Hi Manuel,

If you had only one column of comments you could do a Pivot Table that would give what you want.

You would need to copy columns A and C below Column A and B and again A and D below A and B. This would then be a table you could Pivot. If you can attach the workbook instead of a picture it is a very easy problem.

    Hi Manuel,

Find the attached done 2 ways. On Sheet 1 I remembered a fancy MMULT() method to do your problem but better is if you do it like sheet 2 and only have 2 columns of data and Pivot your data.

Using a Pivot Table you don't need to create the list across the top and side of your table as it does it for you. On sheet 1 you have to create those words.

    MMult or Pivot Table answer.xlsx

    H2=SUMPRODUCT(($B$2:$D$85=$F2)*($A$2:$A$85=H$1))

    Copy across and down
