I am trying to format cells in Column B,C,D,E with green fill and dark green text, based on a rule that a cell in Column F contains a date. Anyone can help out? I have attached an example sheet.

1. Select cell B5.
2. Set up this CF formula rule: =$F5<>""
3. Set the formatting required.. In the Applies To box, set the range e.g. =$B$5:$E$22

To be on the safe side, I would add =AND($F5<>"",TYPE($F5)=1) (avoiding any entry different from a number ( which is what dates really are))
