    Averageifs per Year & month

    Hello,
    I seek some help on using AVERAGEIFS and keep getting the error message "there's a problem with this formula". basically I am trying to get the average of data if year and month match.
    I am using the formula AVERAGEIFS($C$3:$C$17,YEAR($B$3:$B$17),$F$2) where C is the data range & B is the Data Dates & F2 is the Reference for checking the Dates for each Data.
    Thank you in advance.
    Mohammed

    F3=sumproduct((year(b3:b100)=f2)*(c3:c100)*(b3:b100<>""))/sumproduct((year($b$3:$b$100)=f2)*(b3:b100<>""))

    Many thanks AliGW & Caracalla for your help.
    I am aware of the Sumproduct but was wondering why the Averageifs would not do it!
    have a good day.

    Another way

    F3=AVERAGEIFS(C3:C100,B3:B100,">=01/01/2018",B3:B100,"<=12/31/2018")
