Day from Date Picker in another Cell

I want to have the day appear in one cell source is a date picker in another cell. I have a date picker in Column C and want the Day of that to show in Column B. I have the Weekday formula in but it's not reading the date from the calendar picker in Column C to read the day correctly.

Give the attached a try.
Click anywhere C2:C101 date picker appears with (today - default) click side arrow - calendar appears - select any date - goes into your active cell with day in adjacent column B.
I have put you names list on a seperate tab rather than all grouped in the 'validation' if you add to the list just extend the range in the data validation.
This approach to the datepicker is far less tedious than adding 50 + datepickers with all their relevant support code.
