IF and AND Nested Formulae

Further to the previous solution from Haluk,

I am unsure where to go her so would appreciate a formula to include the original plus more functions.
I believe IF & AND functions would probably be involved, but I don’t understand how to place these in the correct sequence.

The attached WorkBook –C has example and expected outcome in Sheet1(2).

perhaps, but if other ranks are to be added I would label r1 as sergeant, s1 as corporal etc and use a match function match(c10,r10:u10,0) as the second dimension of the index
