Tick & Crosses In Cells

Hi All,

I'm currently building a spreadsheet to check on our departments IT inventory our staff members are currently using and one of the worksheets I need to have an overview of a particular team and what they have in IT equipment.

But I don't want to see the model numbers or serial numbers of the IT equipment and just want a basic tick to say yes and cross to say no.

I've got as far as using the icon sets via conditional formatting but the some of information I'm referencing isn't in a number format so it's not working completely.

I've had a look online and it appear TEXTJOIN would help but I don't have the most up to date excel version so this option isn't available.

I've attached a version of my spreadsheet with all the formula's and conditional formatting I'm using.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Be specific what the problem is and what the desired solution would be. which cells on which sheets?

Please accept my apologies, so the data on worksheet "IT BY Team" I want to show as a green tick if the member of staff has the IT equipment equipment or a red cross if they don't. I'm referencing the data on the "Equipment" worksheet to populate the "IT By Team" worksheet.

As all you are concerned about is that it returns a value not the detail of that value?
