Picklist Query - relationship with other cells

    Dear all,

I have a query regarding a picklist in database.

Within the database, there is a column with an outcome heading. The user is able to select 1 of 4 different outcomes. For example, Outcome A, B, C and D. The user will continue to populate the rest of the row on the database depending on the outcome selected. Lets say this outcome selection is done in C3.

If they select Outcome C in cell C3, then the user has to complete the rest of the database rows from D3-SS, if any other outcome is selected, they can then stop with that particular row and start at the next one down.

What I would like to do is, if the user enters any of the outcomes A, B or D, then the rest of the rows on the spreadsheet (D3-S3) should be automatically populated with "N/A" and the user need not go forward anymore. I can conditionally format the database so that if the user selects options A, B or D, then it changes colour. What I would prefer is if there were text added instead of colour.

I am happy to clarify further and apologies if it is not clear.

    With thanks

The attached uses a formula to display N/A if A, B or D is selected. Custom data validation will not allow input unless C is selected.
The caveat is that if C is selected and manual input is made in a cell then the formula is overwritten, so changing the selection will not affect the cells that have received input.
I imagine that if what you want can be fully implemented, it will require VBA.
